Jolyon Palmer could continue at Renault after 2017
Newly re-signed Renault Sport Formula 1 Team driver Jolyon Palmer could keep his seat after 2017 if he performs well against new team-mate Nico Hulkenberg. Although Palmer signed a one year extension contract with the French manufacturer, Team Principal Fred Vasseur says that there is no reason why Palmer needs to be replaced after 2017. 'It is clear that Nico is a good reference, because he has had a pole position,' Vasseur told Motorsport.com. 'Jo has the opportunity to show his potential. He will have a very strong reference and if he is able to match with Nico, then we will continue like this.'
