Sauber confirms 2017 contract extension for Marcus Ericsson
The Sauber Formula 1 team has confirmed a contract extension for the 2017 season for Marcus Ericsson. The Swedish driver is currently racing in his third F1 season and second with Sauber, which concludes at this weekend’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Having started his F1 career at Caterham, Ericsson moved to Sauber for 2015 and since then has scored a best finish of eighth place (at last year’s Australian GP). It has been a tough few years for Sauber, with the Swiss outfit only picking up its first points of the season in Brazil with ninth place for Felipe Nasr.
