Pirelli complete 2017 wet tyre testing in Abu Dhabi
Red Bull junior driver Pierre Gasly completed two days of wet-tyre testing at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi this week, as part of Pirelli's ongoing development programme for 2017. Gasly, a candidate for the GP2 title which hosts the finale later this month, completed 286 laps – about 1500 km – of the artificially-soaked circuit during sessions that ran until 21:00. Gasly tested both the Pirelli Intermediate and Wet compounds in what was the third and final dedicated wet test. Earlier this year Ferrari tested in wet conditions at Fiorano and Mercedes at Paul Ricard.
