2008 shows why I can t give up, insists Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton has vowed not to give up on his 2016 Formula 1 World Championship hopes until it is impossible for him to win, pointing to his 2008 title win as to what can happen 'until the last minute'. It is eight years to the day that Hamilton won his first F1 world title in extraordinary circumstances after passing Timo Glock – struggling on slick tyres in increasingly damp conditions – on the final corner of the Brazilian Grand Prix to secure the fifth place he needed to beat Felipe Massa to the championship.
