Mercedes: Red Bull Mexico threat difficult to assess amid "confusing" season
Paddy Lowe says its impossible to predict how Mercedes will fare against main rival Red Bull in Mexico, despite the long start/finish straight appearing to favour the Brackley-based squad. Lowe says that relative form of the two teams has not always matched up with expectations over the course of this season, and that this could well be the case again this weekend at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez. “I wouldn’t even like to guess,” Lowe told Motorsport.com about how competitive he thinks Red Bull will be in Mexico. “It’s true that things haven’t gone to pattern from our point of view all year, and I was interested to read that Red Bull have that feeling as well.
