Sainz says Kvyat "deserved" Toro Rosso renewal

Carlos Sainz believes Daniil Kvyat "deserved" to keep his Toro Rosso seat for the 2017 Formula 1 season. The Russian's future with Red Bull was uncertain following a difficult season, during which he was demoted from the top team to Toro Rosso before the Spanish Grand Prix. But Red Bull announced on Saturday that Kvyat would stay on with Toro Rosso, a move supported by teammate Sainz.
