Mercedes drivers left chasing the conditions on Friday

United States Grand Prix – The two Mercedes drivers were left chasing the changing conditions between Friday practice sessions. The track temperature varied massively between the two practice sessions, with the track at a low of 22°C in the morning before reaching a peak of 38°C in FP2. The much cooler conditions of FP1 gave the drivers a very different feeling to what they then had in the afternoon session for their qualifying simulations and long runs, which required set up changes to be made. “The running of the car was different between P1 and P2 because of the temperature; it was very cold when we ran this morning,” said Nico Rosberg, who set the pace in FP2. “The weather...
