Wehrlein confirms talks ongoing with Force India
Manor rookie Pascal Wehrlein has revealed that he is in talks with Force India to fill the seat vacated by his compatriot Nico Hulkenberg. The Mercedes backed driver told media during the DTM finale at Hockenheim, 'There is a seat with Force India, and of course we are in talks with them for next season.' 'We will see how it will develop. Right now, I am focused on doing the best job I can do with Manor. We want to end this season on a high.' With regards to the vacancy that arose when it seemed that Force India had settled on Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez for 2017, Wehrlein admitted, 'It wasn't a surprise for me to see that there would be an open seat at Force India.'
