Gasly completes 277 laps at Abu Dhabi 2017 tyre test

Red Bull Racing junior and GP2 front-runner Pierre Gasly completed 277 laps at Pirelli’s three-day tyre test at the Yas Marina Circuit. The test in Abu Dhabi took place from the 14-16 October, with Red Bull using a modified version of its 2015 car to gather data on next year’s tyres. Widths of the F1 2017 tyres will increase by 25% over the current size, with Pirelli completing an extensive test programme before next season. Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull are helping Pirelli develop the tyres, with the former completing a two-day test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya earlier this week.
