Gasly begins Pirelli's Abu Dhabi tyre test
– Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli racked up another 450km of running as it continued its testing schedule with Red Bull junior driver Pierre Gasly in action at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi.Pirelli has been carrying out private tests as it continues to gather data on its 2017 tyres, which will be 25 per cent wider than the current specification rubber.Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull have supplied 2015 cars, which have been modified to simulate next year's expected downforce levels.Gasly, second in the GP2 Series, completed 81 laps in hot and sunny conditions at the home of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix as he experienced the larger tyres for the first time.Pirelli was frustrated...
