Verstappen delighted to separate Mercedes cars

Japanese Grand Prix – Max Verstappen was able to finish the race ahead of one Mercedes car to secure his sixth podium finish for Red Bull Racing. Following a post-qualifying promotion to third place on the grid, Verstappen was able to convert his starting position into second place when he passed the slow-starting Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton. From there, the Red Bull driver was able to control the tyre temperatures and degradation, which allowed him to race mostly unchallenged with the Ferrari's unable to keep up. Speaking after the race, the Dutchman admitted that race-winner Nico Rosberg was to quick to challenge, but he was pleased to be able to finish ahead of the recovering...
