Rosberg pips Hamilton to Suzuka pole by 0.013 seconds

Nico Rosberg will start the Japanese Grand Prix from pole position after beating his Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton by 0.013 seconds. Hamilton held the advantage after the first runs in Q3 but a 1m30.647 in the closing minutes put Rosberg back ahead with an unbeatable time. Kimi Raikkonen was three tenths off the front-running pace in third, with Sebastian Vettel fourth in the second Ferrari – but he has a three-place grid penalty. Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo will start fifth and sixth, ahead of Sergio Perez and Romain Grosjean.
