Alonso gets up to seventh from last on the grid

Malaysian Grand Prix – Fernando Alonso worked his way up from the back of the grid to a sensational seventh place for McLaren. The Spaniard had a 45-place grid penalty going into qualifying, guaranteeing him a spot at the back of the field for the start of the race. A brilliant start saw him up to 13th place by the end of Lap 1, before working his way back up into the points.
