Carey wants to take Formula 1 to 'next level'
– Chasey Carey, Formula 1's new Chairman, says he is keen to take the sport to the "next level" following confirmation of Liberty Media's takeover, which will cost $8 billion in total.Liberty Media, owned by John Malone, has taken on an 18.7 per cent stake, in a $746 million cash deal, and will ultimately acquire 100 per cent of Delta Topco's shares, F1's parent company.Carey, the Vice-Chairman of 21st Century Fox, made his first official paddock appearance at the Singapore Grand Prix, alongside Bernie Ecclestone, who continues in the role of CEO.Carey insists that Liberty Media is committed to F1 for the long-term."It sure is not 'take the money' with a focus on how...
