Toro Rosso to continue with split specs in Singapore
Both Carlos Sainz Jr and Daniil Kvyat will continue to run with different aero packages for the Singapore Grand Prix weekend as their Scuderia Toro Rosso team try to work out which one is best. Sainz is running the new package that was introduced at the German Grand Prix, while Kvyat has the older package used up until the Hungarian Grand Prix, with the aim to find out whether the new package has improved the car or not. Both drivers ran their respective packages during Friday’s running at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, but with no clear-cut advantage to either driver, it has been decided to extend the split programme into the whole weekend.
