Jenson Button: 'I’m very happy with my performance'

Similarly to his team-mate, Fernando Alonso, McLaren-Honda’s Jenson Button failed to reach the points today at the Italian Grand Prix. However, the Brit had a competitive afternoon and admitted that he enjoyed his race. Finishing twelfth after a fourteenth place start, Button was happy with his performance nonetheless. He admitted to making a poor start, commenting that: “There were a few mistakes on the first lap. I got a bad start, then, at the first Lesmo, one of the Saubers pushed me wide, then forced me off the circuit and into the gravel. I was last at the end of the first lap…” However, Button appeared to put his start behind him and get stuck into the race, saying that:...
