Charlie Whiting dismisses FIA departure rumours
Formula 1’s long-standing race director Charlie Whiting has dismissed rumours that he is set to relinquish his role in the FIA and join one of the racing teams. Whiting has been subject to rumours at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza this weekend that hint that he was set to leave his role with the FIA, who he’s been a part of since 1988, but the sixty-four-year-old has laughed them off, dismissing them as ‘complete nonsense’, with Whiting wondering where the rumours came from.
