Hamilton secures dominant Mercedes pole

Click here for full qualifying results for the Italian Grand Prix Lewis Hamilton has produced a flawless pole position lap to convert Mercedes' dominance at Monza as Nico Rosberg fails to keep pace with his team-mate while Ferrari is left trailing at its home round. The defending F1 champion has claimed his third consecutive pole position at Monza while equalling Ayrton Senna and Juan Manual Fangio's joint record of five career poles for the Italian Grand Prix. After leading proceedings into Q3, Hamilton laid down the time to beat on his opening flyer with a 1m 21.358s with Rosberg trailing by three-tenths.
