Viñales heads opening session at Silverstone
– Suzuki rider Maverick Viñales clocked the quickest time during the opening practice session for the British Grand Prix at SilverstoneViñales vaulted to the front during the closing stages with a 2:02.483, 0.282s clear of Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo, who he will replace in 2017.Viñales and Lorenzo finished substantially ahead of Marc Márquez, who took third position, despite being over a second adrift of his Suzuki compatriot, having recovered from a crash.Valentino Rossi was fourth, with Andrea Dovizioso the lead Ducati rider in fifth spot.Pol Espargaró took sixth for Tech 3 Yamaha, in front of Andrea Iannone and Dani Pedrosa.Pramac pair Scott Redding and Danilo Petrucci rounded...
