Magnussen ‘will be ready' for Monza

Kevin Magnussen is confident that he will be fit to race at next weekend's Italian GP despite injuring his ankle in a high-speed accident at Spa. The Renault driver had a violent crash at the Belgian Grand Prix at he lost control through Eau Rouge. He slammed into the Raidillon barriers backwards, destroying his RS16 and the tyre wall. Magnussen climbed out of his car with a noticeable limp and was taken to a local hospital for further checks. Renault reported: 'He has a small cut to the left ankle and has been escorted to a nearby hospital for further routine checks.'
