Magnussen taken to hospital with ankle cut
– Kevin Magnussen has been transported to hospital for routine checks after sustaining an ankle injury during a high-speed crash at the Belgian Grand Prix.Magnussen lost control of his Renault RS.16 exiting Raidillon and slammed into the barriers, causing the race to be suspended while guardrail repairs were undertaken.Magnussen was able to limp away from the wreckage of his car and Renault provided an update regarding the Dane's condition."Kevin ran wide at the exit of Eau Rouge and made heavy contact with the barriers," read a statement."He left the car unaided and was taken to the medical centre for precautionary checks."He is fully conscious and responsive.
