Spa installs new kerb for Belgian GP race
Formula 1 organisers have decided to add an extra kerb at the exit of the Liege downhill left hander to deter drivers from running wide and pulling debris back on the track. The layout of Turn 9 allows drivers to take liberties on the exit if they have carried too much speed – with Nico Rosberg having all four wheels off the circuit there during his Q2 run yesterday. The FIA has deemed that there is no need to police the turn in terms of track limit rules, though, because there is no time advantage from running wide.
