Verstappen targets for historic win at Belgian GP The young Formula 1 sensation Max Verstappen claimed another milestone during qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix when the 18 year-old Verstappen becomes the youngest driver to secure a front row start in Formula 1 history since Ricardo Rodriguez achieved the feat in the 1961 Italian Grand Prix aged 19. Verstappen races under the Dutch flag but was born in Belgium to a Belgian mother, and they love him here just as if he was one of their own.
