Kimi Raikkonen says small mistake cost him Belgian pole position

Kimi Raikkonen believes pole position was on the cards for Ferrari this weekend had it not been for a small mistake at the final corner which he believes cost him two-tenths of a second, which would have been enough to overhaul both Max Verstappen and pole sitter Nico Rosberg. Raikkonen qualified third with an improved laptime on his second run, which put him just +0.166 shy of Rosberg's pole time. Whilst his second run in Q3 was quicker than his Q2 time, his final sector was slower and Raikkonen blamed a small mistake at the chicane for costing him what would have been his first pole since 2008.
