Fernley ‘very surprised' if Perez leaves

Bob Fernley says he would be 'very surprised' if Sergio Perez walked away from Force India at the end of this season. In the midst of a stellar season with Force India, the Mexican racer has been targetted by rival teams. Williams and Renault are believed to be chasing his signature despite Force India actually having a contract in place for next season. However, Perez's personal sponsorship deals means even that piece of paper does not guarantee he will remain at the team next season. Fernley, though, says he would be surprised if he doesn't.
