Hamilton likely to take engine penalty at Spa
Lewis Hamilton is expected to take a grid penalty for exceeding his number of engine components at the Belgian Grand Prix. The F1 championship leader will get confirmation on Thursday (25th August) and if Hamilton does suffer a required engine change he will be given at least a 20-place grid penalty. Hamilton endured a series of engine failures earlier in the campaign which somewhat hampered his charge as his Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg stormed to four consecutive wins at the start of 2016. The Belgian Grand Prix marks the resumption of the F1 season after the summer break and Hamilton holds a 19 point lead having tuned around a 43 point deficit since the Spanish Grand Prix in May....
