Capito confirms VW farewell, but still no McLaren start date
McLaren's incoming Formula 1 CEO Jost Capito will be back with the team at the Belgian Grand Prix next weekend after confirming his VW exit this week, but has still yet to finalise an official start date with the Woking-based outfit. Capito, who is currently Volkswagen's Motorsport boss, announced at the Rally Germany that this weekend's WRC event would be his last with the German car manufacturer. Despite having agreed his McLaren move in January, he made it clear at the time that he would only take up the role once he had appointed a successor.
