Mercedes domination hurts F1 – Button

McLaren-Honda driver Jenson Button thinks the way Mercedes has dominated F1 since the start of 2014 had a negative impact on the sport. However, he has high hopes that next year’s sweeping technical changes can spice up the grid. 2009 world champion Jenson Button has hit out at current F1 pecking order. He did not blame Mercedes for having dominated the sport, but he feels sorry for the fans because of the complete lack of excitement. “For me, the important thing is we get other teams involved fighting at the front, because having just two guys in the same car fighting at the front is not what the sport needs,” Button is quoted as saying by autosport.com.
