Mercedes go conservative for Spa

Mercedes have adopted a conservative approach for the Belgian Grand Prix, opting for just four supersofts sets to Ferrari's seven and Red Bull's six. Formula 1 will return to action after the summer break with the Belgian GP, held at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. And it is a race where tyre choices could factor. Mercedes have surprised by choosing just four of the supersofts while main rival Red Bull have gone with six. Ferrari, who lost second place in the Constructors' Championship to Red Bull in Germany, have opted for seven.
