Hamilton takes commanding Hockenheim win as Red Bull complete podium

Lewis Hamilton extended his championship lead to 19 points on Sunday at the German Grand Prix as he claimed his sixth win of the 2016 season. The Briton got a brilliant start to immediately take the lead at Turn 1 ahead of pole sitter and Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg, who had a poor getaway to drop down to fourth behind both Red Bulls. Max Verstappen would get ahead of Daniel Ricciardo at the start but as their different strategies played out, Ricciardo would finish ahead to claim second, with Verstappen completing the podium.
