Button taken to hospital with eye irritation

Jenson Button Jenson Button was transferred to hospital for precautionary checks after complaining of an eye irritation in practice for the German Grand Prix. The McLaren driver visited the Hockenheim circuit’s medical centre after being forced to sit out the second half of Practice 2 due to the issue. McLaren confirmed that Button was then taken to a hospital in nearby Mannheim for a check up. Button has since received the all-clear from doctors and is set to contest the remainder of the weekend.
