Eye irritation sends Button to the hospital

McLaren has revealed that Jenson Button was taken to the hospital after complaining about an eye injury during FP2 of the German Grand Prix. During the second practice, the Brit’s session was cut short after he told the British team that his eye irritation was too distracting to continue. He only completed 16 laps compared to his teammate Fernando Alonso, who racked up 21 laps. 'Jenson complained of an eye irritation during FP2, and has gone to Mannheim hospital to have a precautionary check-up,' McLaren’s twitter account tweeted.
