Sauber takeover has accelerated development
– Sauber driver Marcus Ericsson says the team's takeover has enabled the squad to increase its development programme, as it bids to move up the Formula 1 grid.Sauber has endured a tumultuous season on and off track, amid financial woes, with neither Ericsson nor team-mate Felipe Nasr yet to grace the top 10.The outfit's C35 has only received notional updates since pre-season, with the bulk of progress arising from Ferrari's power unit upgrades.Sauber confirmed prior to the Hungarian Grand Prix that it had been acquired by Longbow Finance and Ericsson is hopeful that the team can enjoy a performance boost after the summer break."We've had a development plan in the loop for quite...
