Jenson’s ‘unfair’ penalty – ‘that’s a safety concern, a safety problem’
Jenson Button speaks out over the apparent unfair race penalty he received after his team helped him to fix a break issue. Jenson Button was awarded a late penalty by the marshals after his team helped him to switch modes, something now banned by the new radio regulations. The start of the issues came when Buttons pit crew said “do not shift, we have lost hydraulic pressure” To which Button replied (after receiving the penalty) “So the brake pedal going to the floor is not classed as a safety issue?
