Hamilton takes win, points lead, in Hungary

Pirelli Media Lewis Hamilton controlled proceedings at the Hungarian Grand Prix to take his fifth victory of the season, moving into the lead of the championship for the first time this season. Hamilton snatched the lead from Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg into the first corner and from there was never headed, as both drivers ran a Super Soft/Soft/Soft strategy. Rosberg remained a lurking presence for Hamilton, remaining within two seconds for much of the race, but never challenged for the lead. Hamilton’s win, his fifth in Hungary, means he now leads the standings by six points. More to follow.
