Nico Rosberg escapes penalty as stewards deem he slowed sufficiently

Nico Rosberg will keep his pole position for the Hungarian Grand Prix after race stewards deemed he slowed sufficiently for the double-waved yellow flags. The Mercedes driver was called to the stewards' office three hours after qualifying when an investigation was launched to determine whether or not Rosberg slowed for the yellow flags during the last minute of Q3. Rosberg claimed after the session that he had lifted off the throttle, despite setting the quickest sector time. 'There were double-waved yellows, but I had a very, very big lift,' he said. 'I lost a lot of time as a result, so I am sure it will be okay.'
