Pirelli eyes Bahrain, Abu Dhabi for pre-season

– Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli has outlined Bahrain and Abu Dhabi as preferred locations for 2017 pre-season testing, to ensure "representative" conditions.Formula 1 has recently staged its pre-season running in Spain, at Barcelona, Jerez and Valencia, a situation that is logistically and financially easier for teams.But given next year's regulation overhaul, which will include much wider tyres, Pirelli feels that testing in the Middle East would be more beneficial."We would prefer to go somewhere like Bahrain or Abu Dhabi," Pirelli's Motorsport Director, Paul Hembery, explained to the official Formula 1 website.Hembery added: "The temperatures will be...
