Ericsson given all clear to race at Silverstone

Marcus Ericsson will participate in the British Grand Prix after being cleared by the FIA stewards to compete following his heavy practice crash on Saturday. The Swede had been taken to hospital as a precaution following his spin into the barriers on the exit of Stowe Corner, having lost control by running his Sauber slightly off the track onto a damp Astroturf. Ericsson missed qualifying as a result of the crash that damaged all four corners of his car, and will start from the pit lane with a new chassis after the original was damaged beyond repair.
