Ericsson gets FIA green light for British GP

 XPB Images Marcus Ericsson has been cleared to race at the British Grand Prix by the FIA, his Sauber F1 team has announced. The Swede missed Saturday’s qualifying at Silverstone after suffering a heavy crash in the third and final free practice. Ericsson initially went to the track’s medical centre but it was decided to send the 25-year-old to a hospital so he could carry out further precautionary checks. Ericsson was released last night, with the Sauber man unhurt but admitting to being “sore”.
