– Sauber driver Marcus Ericsson will need to undergo further medical checks before the British Grand Prix, in the wake of his violent crash in final practice.Ericsson lost control of his car over the exit kerbs at Stowe, slid back across the circuit and impacted the inside barriers at high speed, bringing out the red flags.All four corners of Ericsson's Ferrari-powered C35 sustained heavy damage, while the steering wheel also came off, after his knees hit the release button.Ericsson was taken to a nearby hospital for checks, and subsequently missed qualifying, and later described himself as "OK" in a social media post.Ericsson's media duties were cancelled, but a team...
