Vettel says gearbox failures could be considered Ferrari weakness
British Grand Prix – Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel says the gearbox failures that are plaguing his Silverstone weekend could be a weakness on the SF-16H. Vettel has picked up a grid penalty for this weekend's race, having had a gearbox failure at the end of FP3 on Saturday morning. This follows on from another change after a failure in FP2 on Friday, a failure that the German was able to take a new gearbox for without penalty. However, with just an hour's track running behind it, the new gearbox failed and Vettel coasted his way back into the pits with a broken Ferrari.
