Arrivabene explains Raikkonen 2017 deal

Scuderia Ferrari Ferrari team boss Maurizio Arrivabene says the squad's focus on closing the gap to Mercedes in the championship made the decision to retain Kimi Raikkonen straightforwards. Ferrari announced on Friday morning that Raikkonen will stay with the team into 2017, alongside Sebastian Vettel, for what will be his seventh season with the outfit. Arrivabene says the decision to keep Raikkonen was made on Thursday and that Ferrari's focus is on catching Mercedes, rather than worrying about its driver line-up.
