Bite-size tech: Williams FW38 nose and front wing

Williams has been conducting back-to-back testing on the new and old nose and front wing solutions in order to ascertain which gives the best effect around Silverstone. Pictured above is the new wing and nose pillar solution being run in combination on Bottas' car during FP1. The new wing features a revised endplate canard, fin within the main cascade, slot in the foot of the cascade and a revised 'r' cascade which is lent closer to the main cascade and its leading edge curved over. The intricacies of these details are covered more extensively in the Austrian GP debrief. Meanwhile, the front wing pillars have a revised leading edge, with a much taller straight section as it extrudes upward...
