Sergio Perez: “We really deserved some points”
Sergio Perez was on course to salvage some points for himself and the Sahara Force India team only to see his race come to an end in the turn three barriers at the Red Bull Ring after brake failure with just two laps remaining. After a suspension issue during qualifying saw him end up starting out of position in the midfield pack, Perez was running in eighth, within striking distance of the Haas of Romain Grosjean, only to run out of brakes and lose control of his VJM09, ending with a heavily damaged car.
