Sainz Jr. to stay at Toro Rosso for 2017

– Carlos Sainz Jr. will remain as a Toro Rosso driver for the 2017 season, Red Bull team boss Christian Horner has confirmed, with Daniil Kvyat expected to continue alongside him.Sainz Jr. was overlooked when Red Bull promoted Max Verstappen to the senior team, with Kvyat moving back to Toro Rosso, and questions arose over the Spaniard's long-term future at the company.Amid a sequence of strong results, which included a best-ever finish of sixth at his home Grand Prix, Sainz Jr. was linked to a Ferrari switch, but Red Bull has now taken up its option on him."We took up his [contractual] option earlier this week, so he's committed to Red Bull for the next 12 months," Horner...
