Pro-Brexit Ecclestone confident EU vote won’t affect F1

Formula One commercial rights chief Bernie Ecclestone is confident that Britain’s decision to leave the European Union will not have any negative impact to the sport. Britain rejected the union following a historic referendum held on Thursday 23 June, which saw a win for the Leave camp with 52% of the vote. Despite eight of the 11 F1 teams being based or having factories in the UK, Ecclestone, who is in favour of Brexit, claims the end result will not affect the series he runs from his London headquarters. “I have been a supporter of this all the way through," the F1 supremo told UK news agency Reuters. “I think it’s the best thing.
