Rosberg on pole as Hamilton crashes out

Nico Rosberg has claimed pole position for the European Grand Prix whilst his team-mate Lewis Hamilton crashed during his Q3 run. The German's fastest lap was 1.42.758, and was some seven tenths clear of Sergio Perez who will drop five places on the grid. Story of the session With the light green in Baku, the pressure was already on for Scuderia Ferrari – Sebastian Vettel was faced with an electronics problems on his Ferrari. The first marker was set by Nico Rosberg, who set a 1.44.136 during his first run, and edged his team-mate out by 0.123, with William's Valtteri Bottas a second further back.
