Ricciardo happy 2018 Red Bull deal is now public

Daniel Ricciardo has welcomed the fact that his Red Bull bosses have gone public and confirmed that he is committed to the team until the end of 2018. Although the Australian had been linked with other teams – especially Ferrari – over recent months, his original deal at Red Bull meant he was locked into his current outfit as long as he was performing. In a bid to stop talk of Ricciardo's future becoming a distraction, Red Bull bosses Christian Horner and Helmut both said over the Canadian Grand Prix weekend that he would be remaining at the outfit for another two years.
