Esteban Gutierrez: “It was a tricky session for us”

Esteban Gutierrez out-qualified Haas F1 Team team-mate Romain Grosjean for the second consecutive race weekend, but admitted it was a struggle to get the best out of the car during the qualifying session at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. The Mexican initially qualified fourteenth, but will move up to thirteenth as a result of the penalty carried over from Monaco for Daniil Kvyat, and said the changeable conditions, especially in the first part of qualifying, were tricky to deal with. Gutierrez also admitted to have been feeling under the weather so far this weekend in Canada, so despite finishing the session down where he was, he was happy to be able to get through the qualifying session...
