Verstappen handed first reprimand for FP1 impeding Max Verstappen handed first reprimand of the season for impeding Williams speedy Valtteri Bottas during opening practice for the Canadian Grand Prix. Bottas tried a flying lap and he was approaching a late braking with high speed in final chicane but found Verstappen as slow running for made a gap for his next flying lap. Following the Finn was locking his front right tyre and going straight on. The incident was reported to the stewards, who blamed Verstappen and issued a reprimand. 'The driver slowed unnecessarily in front of car 77 [Bottas],' the stewards decision read.
